Low-Calorie Diet Programme

Low-Calorie Diet Programme

What Is the LCD Programme?

The Low-Calorie diet programme is an evidence-based programme that aims to help people living with type 2 diabetes to transform their health, lose weight and for some, put their type 2 diabetes into remission. Many people completing the programme lose weight, have better control or even remission of type 2 diabetes, their blood pressure is better controlled and they need fewer medications.

The programme is 12 months long and you will be seen face-to-face by our specialist nutritionist. We will provide you with the meal replacement products for 12 weeks including fibre supplements and additional products to help you to wean off the meal replacements and start eating meals in a step-wise approach. These products will provide you with 900 kcal/day and consist of soups and shakes.

During the 12 months, you will be supported by your own nutritionist who will work with you during each phase of the programme. The consultations will be solution-focused and will provide you with information to achieve your health and well-being goals and keep them up in the long term.
